EILAT

Eilat
is Israel's and the Middle East's Riviera paradise in the
sun where it hardly ever rains and the sun shines nearly
365 days a year. Winter temperatures are around 20 -30 degrees
centigrade and Summer temperatures a glorious 40+ degrees.
This is a dry heat with no humidity and usually a strong
North breeze, so it is less unpleasant than the Mediterranean
in the summer. Flight time from the UK is only 4.5-5 hours.
Eilat is the Northern most region in the World where coral
grows. This means that it is the nearest place to Europe
where the diving is amazing, with crystal clear waters and
beautiful coral reefs. Winter water temperature are 21 degrees
centigrade and Summer is 27-30 degrees centigrade. So diving
is an all year round possibility. The Red Sea, here in Eilat,
is the safest environment to learn to dive. All the dive
sites are accessed directly from the shore. There are no
strong currents or underwater hazards.
Eilat has many hotels or youth hostels to choose from. Anything
from 5 star luxury to your basic youth hostel is available
to suit any budget.
Eilat
is very safe place indeed and nowhere near the problem areas
in the North of Israel. I have lived here for 10 wonderful
years and have 3 children all born in Eilat.
